Our Consultation Process

“The conversations we have with our clients are the most important part of the whole consultation process.”

The initial consultation involves a meet and greet, sharing information about the process and then discussing the issues. This takes time, which is why we allow an hour or more (if necessary)! Because we have a holistic approach, we discuss not only any physical ailment but also the mental/emotional state of the pet. Sometimes it’s the ‘little things’ that are of the utmost importance, for example, grief around the loss of a mate, a change of house, often the ‘never been well since’…

Diet may be part of the underlying cause of the un-wellness and it’s often our first ‘go-to’, as real food is part of the healing process. The type of remedy (herbal, homeopathic, flower essences) and choice of the specific remedy is determined and the medicating process discussed with the owner.

We seek a progress report within a few days to assess how the owner and pet are managing. Consultations may be via a visit to the Clinic, by phone or online. Your Animal Naturopath will advise if they believe a veterinary visit is necessary.

Pet Insurance: We are covered by most pet insurance companies in New Zealand.

Full Consultation Fee – $120 (Online, phone or local in-person visit)

Medicines – TBA (Charged separately and these will be discussed at the time of consultation.)

“Hearing is listening to what is said. Listening is hearing what isn’t said.” – Simon Simek
